Changes in wind conditions describe slow, chronic changes in average wind speeds that do not include extreme events. The wind energy sector along with the industries and populations that depend on it are particularly affected. Stronger winds can, for example, promote drought and intensify the forest fire season. Weaker winds, on the other hand, can increase air pollution in cities.
The risk is determined based on the modeled trends in medium wind speed at a height of 10 meters above the ground and their negative effects on the object of investigation (vulnerability).
